This was one of my favorite family photo sessions this summer and it was the perfect way to end the season. This particular spot in Lancaster County Central Park has become a favorite of the Stoltzfoos family and I was delighted when they asked if they could go creek stomping for their photo shoot. I loved capturing the boys' expressions as they splashed, pretended to go fishing and floated a wooden boat down the creek. Photographing families doing something they love together is what I'm all about. I know everyone wants the posed photos of everyone smiling at the camera, but to me the images that will carry the most memories some day are the ones that are candid and tell a story. In my family sessions I like to find a balance between the two, but the emphasis has to be on having fun and DOING something together in order to capture those real moments, especially with young kiddos.
