Every year I come up with a Christmas craft that is inexpensive, easy to do and personal. This past year my husband and I traveled to Morocco where we visited the amazing blue city of Chefchaouen. I took oodles of photographs of this blue paradise and decided it would be fun to gift prints for Christmas. Below you will see the supplies and the end result of my framed pieces. All for less than $15!

What you need:

1. a frame, preferably with an interesting, textured or decorative edge (I found an 8x10 frame at AC Moore for $5)

2. spray paint (I got Rustoleum brand at Home Depot, which costs around $3.50 a can. I tried both matte finish and glossy.)

3. your art! (I bought an 8x10 matte at AC Moore for $3 and made a 5x7 print at my local pro lab Perfect Image for $1.50) Make sure to sign your artwork!

When you spray paint, be sure to remove the glass from the frame and the back if you are able. I did the spraying outside and placed the frame on some newspaper and propped it off the ground with sticks. I found that if I just laid it on the newspaper, the frame got stuck to the newspaper once the spray paint dried and it was hard to peel it off.
