This summer I have had the opportunity to travel out of state for a couple weddings and though I've driven through Connecticut before, this was my first time actually staying there for a few days. Sean is a friend from college and I was honored when he and Brandee asked me to be their wedding photographer. My husband Dave came along too as my assistant and we were able to enjoy some time at a beautiful bed and breakfast (thanks to Sean and Brandee!) after the wedding before heading up to New Hampshire to visit friends.

These two were great fun to photograph and despite the rainy day, their wedding was beautiful, relaxed and intimate. The ceremony was held at Middlesex Yacht Club in Chester, Connecticut. They were married under a large tree looking out onto the water surrounded by their closest family and friends. Both Sean and Brandee work in acupuncture and they actually met in acupuncture school! We decided to do a first look at Gillette Castle State Park, which made for an awesome backdrop.  The photos below will give you a glimpse of their wedding day!

I think it's a fabulous color combination with the gray and navy. I love the succulents in Brandee's bouquet!
